j-ref is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering the entrepreneurial spirit in Howard County, Maryland. We are committed to creating jobs by providing risk-oriented financing for businesses in the county unable to receive financing from traditional sources.

Since our founding in 1992, JREF has provided over $4.4 million in loans to 55 businesses and helped to create almost 500 new jobs in Howard County.
