j-ref is a small business financier that assists small and emerging businesses located in Howard County. It provides financing and other needed forms of management and education assistance to maximize business growth.

• Business loans up to $250,000
• Business advice to meet the specific needs of the entrepreneur
• Business and strategic plan review and business education

Real Estate Loans Program:

• Business and real estate must be located in Howard County
• Up to $250,000
• No Prepayment Penalty
• Floating Rates
• 75% or more Owner Occupied
• Cash Down Payment as low as 5%

Support for the j-ref program is available through partnerships with Howard County government, Howard County Economic Development Authority, Howard County Chamber of Commerce, Baltimore Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce, Howard Community College, local financial institutions, and the local business community.
